I was just sticker shocked to receive a bill for $500 AFTER my insurance paid $271. They allowed $771 for a 2-sided chest x-ray. I wish I could say I lived in Beverly Hills and was treated to a steak dinner and a day a the spa with that xray but it was done in an outpatient facility in Richmond, VA. Good Grief. That is twice what your average is and it turned out there was absolutely nothing wrong with me. I suppose I should be grateful, but next time I’m having problems breathing, I’m gonna be blue before I head to the doctor! Your 10/2016 numbers sure have increased in just 4 months….
